The Monmouth County Vocational School District houses over 15 shared time programs across the district.

Applied Mechanical Engineering, Auto Technology & Health Occupations, Tinton Falls, NJ

Housed in Tinton Falls, MCVSD's Pre-Manufacturing & Robotics program offers juniors & seniors in Monmouth County the opportunity to engage and prepare for a career in Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Robotics. Students will earn industry-recognized certifications and participate in hands on experiences as well as on the job training through our Structured-Learning Program.

The Patient Care/Medical Assisting program is a two-year high school program.  The program is unique, in that, the classroom is work-based after the first two months each year.  This concept develops work-place readiness skills, professional behavior, and provides immediate access to various jobs upon graduation.  Students will have clinical experience in the nursing department in a long-term care facility/nursing home, assisted living facility and in a hospital.

The Nursing Assistant/Dietary Aide program is a two-year high school program. The program is unique, in that, the classroom is  worked-based after the first three months each year. This concept develops work-place readiness skills, professional behavior, and provides immediate access to various jobs upon graduation. Students will have clinical experience in the nursing and dietary departments in the long-term care facility/nursing home.

Auto Technology & Electricity, Middletown, NJ

The automotive technology course is an ASE-based curriculum, tailored for the individual who is planning to enter the automotive service industry.  This is a thorough introduction to the automobile that will culminate with the administration of five industry approved tests in the areas of: Automotive Electricity Electronics, Automotive Engine Repairs, Engine Performance, Automotive Braking Systems including ABS and traction control, and Steering and Suspension Systems.
Electricity is a two-year program offering high school students an opportunity to learn and experience the skills necessary to achieve an entry-level position in the electrical contracting field. The curriculum includes class work instruction in electrical theory in Ohm's Law, Power and AC & DC Circuitry. Students will be
able to perform calculations of resistance, current, voltage and wattage in series
and parallel circuits. The National Electrical Code plays a major roll in the course
of study. The curriculum offers hand-on work, as well as resume writing, job application, and interviewing skills.

Attendance at the CC is on a “shared-time basis”. Students return to home schools for academic instruction and participation in extra-curricular activities.All training hopefully leads to an opportunity
for employment.  School to Work staff assist Career Center
students in finding employment in their junior and senior years.

Commercial Art & Welding, Aberdeen, NJ

Commercial Art prepares the student with the essential workplace readiness skills to work in an advertising agency. Students will design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos. May use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects. Illustration and photography are also introduced over the course of two years.
The Welding program prepares students for entry level employment in the field of welding. Students will work on developing their basic skills in the use of Welding materials, tools, and equipment coupled with the use of mathematical concepts blueprint reading, and basic layout. Students will also have the opportunity to practice their skills on live-work and simulated field work.

Culinary Education Center, Asbury Park, NJ

The Culinary Education Center is a collaboration between Brookdale
Community College and Monmouth County Vocational School District.
The Culinary Education Center offers a comprehensive, innovative food
preparation and management program of study to students. The high
school curriculum is designed to provide entry-level workforce skills
while attending their home school and the Culinary Education
Center also provides students with a dual enrollment option with

Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Dental Science, Diesel Mechanics, Hazlet, NJ

In our state of the art dental learning lab, students are introduced to the field of dentistry and will learn about the various careers of dental assisting,
dental hygiene, dental laboratory technician, dental office management, and dentistry. The students will gain a solid foundation of skills necessary to
work in a dental office.
Students are prepared to enter the field of carpentry and work for a carpenter,
own their own carpentry business or enter the carpenter’s union if they desire.
The curriculum is designed to develop entry-level workforce skills and allow the students to receive advanced standing and acceptance in the carpentry field.
The automotive technology course is an ASE-based curriculum, tailored for the individual who is planning to enter the automotive service industry.  This is a thorough introduction to the automobile that will culminate with the administration of five industry approved tests in the areas of: Automotive Electricity Electronics, Automotive Engine Repairs, Engine Performance, Automotive Braking Systems including ABS and traction control, and Steering and Suspension Systems.
The diesel technology program provides a solid foundation for the mechanical, electrical, electronic and computer systems incorporated into modern truck technology. Servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel-powered units and related components are major elements of this training experience. Students disassemble, assemble, and operate conventional and electronic heavy-duty diesel powered engines, heavy-duty automatic and manual transmissions, hydraulic and air operated brakes, suspension and steering units, air condition components and other related systems in light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

Plumbing, HVAC, & Cosmetology, Freehold, NJ

This plumbing program prepares individuals to practice as licensed plumbers by applying technical knowledge, safety and skills to lay out, assemble, install and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems for natural gas, hot water, heating, drainage, and industrial processing systems in home and business environments. The program covers instruction in source determination, water distribution, waste removal, isometric drawing, basic physics, technical mathematics, blueprint reading, pipe installation and soldering, plumbing inspection and applicable codes and standards.
The cosmetology program consists of two years and is designed and driven by the philosophy that a career and technical background provides students with an added dimension to their intellectual and emotional development, the tools necessary for self-discovery, and the skills needed for success. The curriculum will allow students to develop skills related to the services of the hair, skin, and nails. Skills are learned through theoretical instruction, demonstrations, practical work, and by working with fellow learners.
The HVAC curriculum is designed to provide  students with practical and theoretical knowledge of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air condition systems. The technical course combines classroom theory with practical, hands-on training. This course is intended to prepare students for professional and technical career opportunities.
