Gensis SIS Trainings
 

 

MCVSD is actively transitioning from PowerSchool to Genesis, our new student information system, which will be fully implemented for the 2025-2026 school year. 

During the spring and summer, the district will launch a series of live and virtual training opportunities to prepare staff for this transition. These sessions are designed to meet the varied needs of our staff, including educational services personnel, school secretaries, teachers and administrators. 

Optional trainings and drop-in sessions will continue throughout the summer to provide flexibility and reinforcement. The summer training schedule is provided below. Participation is optional. In order to receive a meeting link, staff must email Dr. Evancho to indicate interest: 

August 5: 8:30-10:00 AM, 1:00-2:30PM

August 6: 8:30-10:00 AM, 1:00-2:30PM

August 13: 8:30-10:00 AM, 1:00-2:30PM

August 14: 8:30-10:00 AM, 1:00-2:30PM

August 27: 8:30-10:00 AM

August 28: 8:30-10:00 AM

The following staff development opportunities will also be utilized to facilitate Genesis training:

August 19 - Genesis Training for New Employees

August 26 - Genesis Training for Administrators

September 3 - Genesis Training for All Staff 

October 14 - Advanced Genesis Training (Optional)
